way too long since last post

hi everyone

Life has been very busy since October. We have since moved on from Pine Ridge Church and are currently attending Cornerstone Alliance Church for the moment. The switch has been huge as Pine Ridge is very relaxed from Cornerstone. I miss my friends from there still.

October through now has been a blur. I was really sick since the summer and decided to go to a natoropath, and am now starting to have a proper functioning immune system. So that is an answer to prayer. I am feeling really good now.

Stephan is still working with American Income, and is waiting to hear about a differnt job opportunity. If he can get it, it will be great and his hours will work in sync with mine mostly, so hopefully that will work out.

I have enjoyed spending lots of time playing with my adorable niece Sarah who is growin up so fast , and is adorable.

Me and Stephan are now starting to work with YFC in Selkirk, and it definelty differnt from church youth, so it is taking a learning curve but it is starting to feel more comfortable. I do enjoy it though.

Christmas has been great and have been spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the time off work, I have to go back on January 2. then from the 24 of January till February 1, me and Stephan are going on a real holiday, we have not had one for awhile. So I am looking forward to that too.

Anways I hope you all had a terrific Christmas and and a great new year to come.

not much new stuff

I am still home alot in the evenings by myself, with Stephan working. I started going to a womens bible study once a week, so that gives me a break. Of course I have my cute niece and sister to visit with.

Thanksgiving was good. I had three gathering with friends and family and lots of food. So I had a great weekend, no long weekend from work till November now. The bad thing now is I have plantar fasciatis, which is swelling by the heel, which really hurts, so now I have to rest alot in the evenings so I have lots of time to sit around.

so nothing much to update

i Hope my cars shop days are over for a long time

My car was in the shop a bit ago gettting it's belts replaced. I found out they were still the original ones. The bill hurt, but it was worth it, new battery, got a dud one and replaced that on the weekend, and lots of fuel injector cleaner, one injector still is not working like it should, but with more cleaner that will improve, but my car has more pick up than when I bought it, and is purring like a kitten. So an expensive month for my car but ultamitley worth it, cause my car is a diesel and I get amazing fuel economy. Although I do feel sorry for the mechanic who did the belts in my car because they are a royal pain to do.

This weekend I am leaving my husband home for a night and going with my mom, sister and my cute and adorable neice Sarah for a womens reatreat. I have not been to the whiteshell for a long time and am looking forward to that.

I have a cleaning at the dentist tommorrow, which I hate, but oh well it has to be done. I am scared I might have to get two wisdom teeth out, beacause they are giving me headaches quite a bit. I understand how Sarah feels with her teething pain right now, some days it is nasty. My dad always has said that we have those so we can have simpathy for little babbies and toddlers.

Stephan has been busy with work, and it feels so weird to not be doing youth ministry this fall, as this is our first year as not being a youth pastor couple. I geuss that will take some time yet.

Well Grand Forks was great. We had a good time and found some good deals down there. If you want to stay at a good hotel check out the the Americinn. Their rates are not too bad, and they have a pool and really good hot tub, and the rooms are really big, and the walls are sound proof.

This week is nice because it is a short week, so I only work four days. I went out to my parents place yesterday after work with Melissa and Sarah and had a good time visiting. A little tired but am looking forward to the weekend, and sleeping in on saturday.

can't wait till Friday

I am so excited we are going to Grand Forks for the weekend. We are taking my car as it is the only one we have with air conditioning, Friday will be a long day on the road as I drive all day for work around the city still, but it will be worth it.

Last Friday I went to out to Pasta La Vista for supper, not bad restaurant, and saw a movie, with Stephan and his boss Tammy for a work celebration. Saturday we celebrated my sister Melissa's 29th birthday, and on Sunday we went to the Chris Rice concert in Morden. It was really hot there on Sunday, but the concert was good.

This week should go by quickly

update

well since I last posted there have been no car breakdowns, keep my fingers crossed on that one. Stephan has been working alot, so I have alot of hours on my own in the evenings. That get tiring after awhile, but having my sister near by helps.

We went camping with family on the long weekend at Falcon Lake. It was so nice to actually have my husband around in the evening and being able to spend time together. Stephan's 25th birthday was on Monday but we celebrated it on Sunday. My family bought a cake and he never knew a thing about it, which it is hard to pull things on him.

Now the long weekend is over and I am back at work for a few days, but am looking forward to another weekend. I will put some pictures up when I have them loaded.

it is so hot outside

It has been so hot this week at work. Another hot week to look forward to. But it is nice to be back with my regualar client and having the usual schedule. on the 15th friends of ours redicated their wedding vows in the church service for their 25th anniversary, so that was neat to be at.

We went out of town last weekend, and it was so hot. My poor car was overheating the whole time, so took it to the shop, and got a cooling flush done on it, and getting another thermostat put in this weekend. Then my car's engine mount broke on the drivers side, so my engine was loose and klunking around. It was been making a sound for a while but no one has been able to pin down what was wrong until this week, so another repair bill, Stephans car had a 1300 bill not too long ago, so we have to pay for all of this now. No extra money for a while now, but at least both of our cars are safe to drive.

Stephan has been busy with his job lately and has all of his appiontments out of town lately. He was in Niverville, St. Agathe, St. Pierre, and the last few days Altona and Winkler, So i do not see him much at all. So i can get really bored at times in the apartment. I am hoping he will get an area in Winnipeg or closer to Winnipeg next so he can get home not so late.

way to long since last update

Life has been very crazy since the last post in June. Stephan was working alot and I was home alone trying to fill in time. I watched my cute niece Sarah a few times. She is such a cutie, and growing like a weed. She will be four months on the 23rd of this month, which is hard to believe that she is already that old.

I took some time off of work this month, with my client being away. I did not go anywhere but it was nice to have some time to relax. I have been under the weather for a while but am now feeling much better with more sleep.

I went on a semi-truck run with my dad last weekend. It was fun, even though the truck broke down and it took a while to get the other truck. My dad hauls grain bins in the summer time. It was neat to watch the grain bin lift up and stand up with the hydraulic system on the trailer. I want to go on another run sometime and then I will take a video of that, and put in on here.

I had an interesting week. went to emergency with a infection on Sunday night, and then had a serious reaction to the antibiotic. It took three shots of epepherine, and lots of medication to get that under control. So that was scary, and glad that is over now. No more of that medicine for me anymore. They had to call the ambulance to my workplace.

I am back at work on Tuesday and my regular client is back on Friday, so my holidays are over.

Stephan is currently looking for other ministry work.

Anwyays that is what is new with us.

I will attempt to adds some pics to this, this works now, yeah.

long overdue update

I have not been posting for awhile. After i got back from the trip I spent alot of time with my Aunt who passed away on May 26, 2007. I was able to be there to sing her into heaven, which I have not forgotten. I miss her very much, and it is hard to not have her around, but I know that she is no longer struggling with cancer and all the effects of that. She was a super aunt.

Stephan is busy with his job lately so I don't really see him all the much, but I have my sister and my neice Sarah who I adore. I am hoping that we can work his schedule soon that we get more time together when I am awake.

My computer still won't let me put pictures on. That is frustrating, Oh well will have to get Stephan to get this figured out.

Anways things are going okay here.

Back to the ranch

I got home yesterday evening. It was a fun trip, and i got to see some of the more rural areas of Alberta. I also went to Banff on Sunday. I took my friend Juanita on the Gondola, which she enjoyed also for the first time. It was rainy and snowy on the mountain, so you could see lots going up, but not at the top or going down for a bit due to fog. But it still was really pretty outside. Went for a hike up in the snow. If you ever go to Banff you have to go to Rogers Chocolate and try some it is tooo good. Got lots of great pictures despite the weather.

I also went to the museum that my friend Juanita works at. She works at the Alberta Reynolds Museum in Westakawin Alberta. I saw a wooden car from 1903, a replica of the avro arrow, they also have the original throttle from the real avro arrow. If you ever are out by Edmonton you have to go and see the musum. It is amazing how much differnt machines they have there. It is only 30 minutes from Edmonton.

I also went to West Edmonton Mall and finally saw the Ikea store, it has so much stuff in it, I will be going back there when I take a car next time. I will go with Stephan next time so he can help carry stuff. Just kidding.

Anways I am back to work tommorrow, will put picks on tommorrow as my computer will not let me upload pictures.

An update long overdue

Stephan has now completed the training on his new job at American Income life. I am so relieved as it has been anout 2 and a half months along with the course he took which he has been away from home so much. Now he can plan around our schedule, and be around more hopefully. Well see how this job works out. I am so not a risk taker on anything.

I am writing from my friends place in Alberta right now. I flew out early yesterday morning and am flying back out on Tuesday. I went to high school with my friend Juanita. The plane ride out here was a bit rough with alot of turbulence. So my stomache was not thinking that thatwas so hot the whole time. I was very relieved when the plane landed. I think I wore out my knuckles.

It is weird being out here, my aunt told me that I had to go on this trip. She is in St. Bonifce Hospital right now on palliative care. The doctors told her on thursday that she has a week, two weeks or a bit longer to live. She has colon cancer that has taken over her body. The doctors are reducing her IV fluid intake now. So if you read this pray for me and my family as this is tough for us, and especially my Aunt Eileen as she just found out about the news and flew out from Vancouver. I am not sure if she is a christian.

So as you can see I am enjoying myselg out here, but my thoughts are at home though too.But i know where my Aunt is going "Heaven bound" so that makes it a little easier.

Ah yeah it is much cooler and wetter out here in Alberta. They want some of our warmer drier weather. I wish that we had some of theirs. I will post some picks of Alberta when I go out to Banff on Sunday.

Hope you are well at home in Manitoba

change in life

life has changed at our household. Stephan is away in Brandon since Friday for a week or a bit more to get trained for his job at American Income Life. It sucks though that he only had two days notice for this trip. So that changed things here quickly which I did not take well. He might be back for thursday, but it could be Friday.

On a good note I am going to Edmonton to see a good friend from May 11-15. I have not seen her for a long time. She is a good friend I still keep in contact from High School. I just found out today and am shopping for a flight.

A friend and fellow youth volunteer Erin is living with me till Stephan comes home. It helps to have company around in the evening.

My little niece Sarah is growing like weed. She has changed so much in her first month of life. She is such a cutie. I am putting some recent pictures of her on.

pictures of my sweet niece

It looks like she is pray in this one

time to catch up

life has been way to crazy at our household lately. During spring break my parent were both off and we spent alot of time with family after work, and of course spending time with my new niece Sarah who I can not get enough of.

Stephan wrote his life insurance exam, and passed today, so that is one huge obstacle surpassed. Now he still has lots to do, but he has his liscence now and can start earning a paycheck in the near future. I had the opportunity of watching Rebecca my friend Monika's daughter who is an adorable two year old, Michelle was there with me too. I learned how to do a tube feed. I think i could do it again with no problem.

I am off till wednesday now. I am have a family getogether with his family tommorrow, and also Good Friday service. We are going to Grand Forks for the night and shoppping on Saturday. There are a few stores we want to check out. Then we have a gathering on Sunday, I am off work with pay on Monday.

Tuesday I am going for a Broncoschopy. This is a nasty scope as they have to put a tube with a camera down my throat to take a took at my upper respiratory system. I will be glad when that is over, and hope i am knocked out for that.

I have a baby shower to plan so if you have any suggestions for that let me know as i am not sure what to do for a devotional or a game.

So that what is up with us right now.

My little neice has arrived

I am so excited to see my neice "Sarah Joy Hansen" in person for the first time today. She is such a cutie, and is so small. I forgot how small newborns are. So that was so huge to see her.

Stephan has his big exam tommorrow afternoon for his new job, hopefully that goes very good for him.

Will add more stuff tommorrow

Life is crazy still

No new pictures to add. Life has been very busy, Stephan is studying for his new job, so that takes time. He has to do a 98 hour course in two weeks, he has one week left of classes for that. So working around his classes can be tricky at times. It will be nice when is earning a good paycheck, or a paycheck at all. I am learning how to be thrifty these past few months with groceries etc.

I cant wait till income tax comes. I hope that glicth is fixed soon, so we can get our return which will be much appreciated.

On the other hand it is hard with Stephan always studying, for me to get time with him during the day and evening. Luckily my sister lives close by and i can go visit her when I get bored of sitting at home while he is busy.

But otherwise things are well at our end

chamges in life

Life has been crazy lately. On Feb 17th, Stephan's station wagon was totalled in a car accident. It was no fault to him at least. So now we are haggling with autopac for a price for his car and looking for another car. We have some prospects so that is a start at least.

On another note, Stephan has left the courier work world, and is now working for American Income Life. We is taking a course and has to write two exams and will have alot of homework for the next little while. So that takes some adjustment on his behalf and mine. I am hoping that this job will work out well for him, and no job hopping for a long time!!!!!!

On another note I am waiting till I am an auntie. I am so excited about my sister's baby on the way. That gives me something to look forward to.

Life is a little stressful right now, but hopefully it will settle down in time, and can relax a bit.

It is so cold outside

Well I got one day off work this week. My workplace cancels when it is is between -45 and -50. So i got a morning to sleep in. This week has been so cold as I got in and out all the time with my job. I can't wait till it warms up a bit. I want to go sledding, cross-country skiing, skating and so much more. But the weather will not cooperate.

We are quite busy these days though, which gives us no time for boredom. rearanged our living room area yesterday. I finally got my photo albums and my book shelf into the living room. I also cleaned up the spare room and now I can finally make spare bedroom, which is what I have been trying to do since we moved into this apartment. So now it looks really nice here.

I will be very pleased when the spare room is finished. All I need is something to organize a few items in, then we will be set here.

I found a picture from our dating days that I just had to add to this blog.
Hope you all are staying warm

Stephanie

Well things are going well at this end. Stephan is looking for a new job outside of his church job. So that is frustrating at times, and is so hard to find a decent job that pays well. Oh well the search continues.

I went by myslef to bucks Auto yesterday and found a piece of plastic for my Jetta that broke recently. I got it off myself, except for one screw to the amazement of the guys on the yard. I am going there on saturday with my dad for two more items. There is an antenna that I need. Mine broke in the big snow storm and Volkswagon charges way too much for the stuff I am looking for. I hope to get my CD Deck installed in my car soon, as i do not have a radio right now, which is a bit frustrating. I spend alot of time in my car with work, and my client talks alot too, so some music would be appreciated soon.

Anways enough of me compaining about my car. Life is good, weather is warm. what more could i ask for.

things are too exciting sometimes

This week has been so cold. but oh well it is January in Manitoba. My work was cancelled on Friday due to the extreme wind chill. So i had day off with pay then. That was fine with me. Yesterday we went out to selkirk to see friends, but our car would not start because the car was not plugged into the block heater all the way. So we tried to get it going, but we had to pick it up after church today, it started but not very willingly. Our friends gave us a ride back to Winnipeg early in the morning. But all is okay now, but we are tired today from that. It took me forever to warm up last night beacuase it was so cold.

I am going shopping with my parents for a bit this afternoon. so that should be good.

things are back to normal somewhat now

Christmas is over and we are both back to work full time and our lives are starting to settle down somewhat. I can now relax at home after work if i want. That is such a great feeling. I will have worked at my job for one year at the end of January which means that for the first time I will get paid vacation. We are planning to take a vacation in the spring after my sister Melissa's baby is born. Dont want to miss that.
